Privacy Policy

Conjaguar keeps your practice on your iPhone. This page explains the few cases where data leaves it: when you sign in, when you speak your answers, and when you subscribe.

1. Who we are

Conjaguar is a Spanish verb conjugation app for iPhone made by Andrés Aprendes (operated by Andrés Villarreal).

2. You can use the app without an account

Everything works without signing in. Your data then stays on your iPhone: level progress, stars, streak, saved verbs and quizzes, lessons you've seen and your settings.
We don't see this data. It is removed when you delete the app.
The app has no ads, no third-party analytics and no tracking across other apps or websites.

3. If you sign in with an Andrés Aprendes account

Signing in is optional. Accounts are created on andresaprendes.com.
When you sign in, the app sends your email or username and password to andresaprendes.com to get an access token. Your password is not stored on the iPhone.
While signed in, the app syncs your practice progress and your saved verbs with your account.

4. Microphone and speech

The microphone is used only during Speak practice, after you allow it. You can always type instead.
Your answer is first recognized by Apple's speech recognition, on the device or on Apple's servers depending on your iPhone, under Apple's privacy policy.
If you are signed in and the iPhone's recognition doesn't match the answer, the short recording of that answer may be sent to andresaprendes.com for a second check. Our server forwards it to OpenAI's speech-to-text service (Whisper) and does not store the audio.
According to OpenAI's API policies, audio sent through the API is not used to train their models and may be kept for a limited time for abuse monitoring.
Recordings on the iPhone are temporary and are deleted by the app.

5. Notifications

Daily reminders are scheduled on your iPhone. No data is sent to us to do this.

6. Purchases

Conjaguar Pro is an auto-renewable subscription sold by Apple through the App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never see your payment details.
Manage or cancel it in Settings › Apple ID › Subscriptions.

7. Third parties

Apple: App Store purchases, speech recognition and notifications.
OpenAI: speech-to-text for the second check of spoken answers (signed-in users only).
Hosting providers for andresaprendes.com, which stores synced account data in the United States.
We don't sell your data or share it for advertising.

8. Deleting your data

Data only on your iPhone: delete the app.
Your account and its synced data: in the app go to Account › Delete account, or email bookings@andresaprendes.com from your account's address. We delete it within 30 days.
You can also ask for a copy of your data or to correct it at the same address.

9. Children

Anyone can practice without an account, and no personal data is collected in that case.
Andrés Aprendes accounts are for people aged 16+ (or the age of digital consent in your country); younger learners use an account managed by a parent or guardian.
If you believe a child has given us personal data without a guardian's consent, email bookings@andresaprendes.com and we'll delete it.

We post the latest version on this page and update the date above.
